2024 highlights in no specific order

- Jampacked roadtrip in Aug and being spoiled rotten by my faves - Mia's patience with me even though I admittedly have been slacking hard

- Reunion and Sharing the glamping tent with Nabina at Tash's wedding. Our play arguments and cracking each other up over the silliest shit "oohhhh mmm" LMAO
- Finishing my cert. Big shoutout to Chris and Marc for being the best trainers that made the 2 x 40mins prezi less daunting. Also thankyou to that random Queenslander girl that I hit up to be my studybuddy for one day HAHAHA

- Got asked to cover higher grade duty roles at work (even tho it was max stress, praise God for these opportunities and in the same vein thank him for answering my prayers and closing the wrong doors for my swipes byeeeee ironman)

- This year's (not-so) small group was amaaaazing, will be hard to top. Absolutely loved doing life with the group and growing together. Also Lily's never ending stories and her being triggered is a whole vibe. Could sit for hours and listen to her rant.
- Trading shenanigans with my degens, still keeping the voice chat alive haha. Can't wait for our 2025 trip!

- Finding my second foodbuddy who also shares the same love language

Loved our pharmacist's face of horror when I recounted 

how she also tried to convince the doctor the GBM pt needed dexamphetamine

for his ongoing terminal agitation.

So of course given my luck,  I was running late to handover

and trust that I was at the wrong place, wrong time

My nightmare. After all the times I told Paul I would never do his job, ever.
Thank goodness, it's only 2 weeks.

that I'm doing fine and they're just grateful I accepted the secondment.

Can't wait for next week to be over already 😬


Kinda funny that originally when I was newgrad and saw the

nurse doing this role I was thinking "wow so chill, so fun. I want her job"

Ohhh so naive HAHAHAHA

Welp. At least I got the exposure and now I know it's not for me.

I didn't realise the hardest bit would be 

having to break the news to multiple people again and again and again.
Large majority being annoyed (a lot of wtf's) while I'm just tryna reassure them

that it's fineeeeee, overall the most decent and genuine one from my recents.

 Which looking back also probably didn't work in my favour cos I was 

so focused on that, it blinded me to how things were with the previous ones.
Guess it was also very telling when I was happy with one text every second day or so

lmao the less the better compared to others where I wasn't grasping for straws of how to reply.
Mia's right, I should feel excited not indifferent.


So I guess that's the lowlight of the week (reminder that you just never know

what's going on the other end)
On the other hand I guess highlight - I got to use this experience as an

opportunity to glorify God in answering my prayers to my non-Christian friends

Being open about my dating stories with my colleagues and not so close friends

has been good and encouraging. 

Enough stories to help kickstart my standup career HAHAHA

 

But recently everyone's been giving me advice about my recent date

that a few comments got into my head and it was kinda giving me mad anxiety this week.
Was praying hard because there was so much uncertainty

and all the differing advice/inputs did not help. 

Did not want to end up in another situationship...
One of my church friends recounted how her mate would pray

for Him to "close the door" if the opportunity/person was not right.

And that was really helpful.

Praise the Lord because he answered and I finally got my confirmation.
A weight lifted off my shoulders 😊

On reflection I am thankful for the experience and made me realise my personal growth

of not looking back at things in regret, like I have in the past but be glad that I've gone through whatever

and learn from it.


Grateful it was in person and also for the gifts, the card was really cute

Really thankful for the birthday roadtrip with my high school friends. 

Even though we don't see each other as much and I admittedly have not put 

much effort into the friendship anymore but they still accept me 😭😭

So glad the weather was decent

Thought kayaking at Cottage Point would be mid
but wow it really be next to the national park so, very scenic.
